Click here first. My Icom IC-7000 on it's MB-120 Mounting Bracket. Now you see it, now you don't! Click on the picture to go to the next one.

Start with a large Kleenex box. Using an Exacto knife cut out the bottom and remove most of the tissues. Leave about 20 or so in the box.

Next, you're going to create a "false bottom" by cutting out a new bottom from cardboard.

Secure the false bottom with masking tape.

Perhaps with your radio, the Kleenex box will fit, but for me a knob on the MB-120 sticks out, so I had to cut a notch.

After cutting the notch, I secured it from ripping with several layers of masking tape, then Exacto cut out the notch.

Flip the Kleenex box back over.

Remove the top opening strip and "fluff" up the tissues.

Again, before....

....and after. The box also can act as a sun shade protecting the head from direct sunlight.

A view from the outside. Yes, the notch is not perfect, but criminals probably won't look that closely.

Another view. Security, plus it will protect the remote radio head from direct sunlight.
